Princes Street runs alongside Bank of England, v close to Mansion House. Head of household is John Stuart, bankers clerk. It may be that these were clerks living on the bank's premises, and Mary was one of the servants to the household.  A cook and another housemaid were also listed.

Moved house in to Yorkshire

Ellen Emery's diary notes that in the last week of November or the first week of December 1887, Mary Spivey went to Yorkshire.  There is no trace of her in either 1891 or 1901 censuses, nor of a marriage certificate.
