INFORMATION

BATHROOM & TOILET
To flush the toilet in the bathroom, press the small button on the right hand side. After approximately 8 seconds it will flush away (loudly so please warn young children and those of a nervous disposition!). It flushes directly into a large tank and NOTHING OTHER THAN TOILET TISSUE should be flushed away. When the septic tank is nearly full, a red light on the riverside of the building above the bedroom windows flashes red. At the end of your stay, and from time to time during your stay, please check this light. If it is flashing red, please turn the E sign (which can be found on the riverside fence) so that it faces the river and the toilet tank will be emptied by the refuse boat on its next collection.

Please note: If the small red light on the grey box above the toilet comes on, or if the toilet stops flushing please DO NOT use the toilet but contact us as there is a fault. , For emergency use there is a chemical toilet in the cubicle between the sheds (chemicals in the workshop) - if this is used please put this out by the bins, turn the E sign around and let Graham (the refuse collector 07881 994 082) know that there is a chemical toilet to be emptied as well as the tank to be pumped out.

The shower is operated by a pull-cord switch next to the shower.

There is a wall-mounted fan heater in the bathroom, please turn off after use.

BIKES
There are various adult and children's bikes and padlocks in the left-hand shed. Please feel free to use them to get down to Potter Heigham etc but at your own risk! There is a foot pump for the tyres.

BOATS
Because of insurance restrictions, none of the boats may be used by guests. To hire a day boat, please contact Maycraft Boatyard. You can also book boat trips at the boatyards in Potter Heigham.

DUSTBINS
Dustbins are emptied on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays providing that the R sign on the riverside fence is turned to face the river. They are emptied by the refuse boat. New dustbin bags will be left in the dustbin ready for use. Additional black bags can be found in the cupboard in the lobby.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE BAGS OF RUBBISH OUT IN THE OPEN, AS THIS MAY ATTRACT RATS.

GARDEN FURNITURE
There are garden chairs and a folding table stored in the bike shed and there are also windbreaks and chairs in the riverside shed. This shed also contains garden tools.

HEATING
The night storage heater in the lobby has its own switch to the left at the base of the heater. Please switch on if required and switch off at the end of your stay. The panel heater in the bedroom has its own switch underneath the heater. This should be switched off when not required and at the end of your stay.
Calor Gas (Alvima) Fire: Instructions for lighting are inside the flap on the top of the fire. For replacement 13kg butane gas canisters phone Maycraft Boat Yard or exchange for a full one at Martham DIY. There are also electric fan and convector heaters for use in the bedrooms if required.

KEYS
Keys to the window locks, the riverside French doors and the sheds are kept on a keyboard in the hall behind the front door. Please ensure that doors, windows, both sheds and the workshop are locked if leaving the bungalow and at the end of your stay.
